Ingredients
24 Firework Oreos (or regular Oreos)
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
16 oz cream cheese, softened
⅓ cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup powdered sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Red food coloring
Blue food coloring
Patriotic sprinkles or pop rocks (optional, for topping)
Instructions
Line a 9×9-inch square pan with parchment paper.
Crush Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or by sealing in a plastic bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
Mix Oreo crumbs with melted butter until fully combined. Press firmly into the bottom of the pan to form the crust. Chill while preparing filling.
In a large bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks. Set aside.
In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy. Add powdered sugar and blend until combined.
Gently fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until evenly incorporated.
Divide the filling into three bowls. Leave one white, tint one red, and one blue using gel food coloring.
Drop spoonfuls of each color onto the crust, then use a toothpick to swirl gently for a fireworks effect.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm.
Slice into bars and top with sprinkles, pop rocks, or whipped cream before serving.
Notes
For best results, freeze bars for 30 minutes before slicing to get clean cuts. Add toppings just before serving to maintain texture and color. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze individually for up to 2 months.
