Ingredients
1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
1 cup blueberries
1 cup raspberries
1 cup watermelon, cubed or cut into stars
1 cup honeydew or jicama, sliced
2 bananas, sliced (add lemon juice to prevent browning)
½ cup blackberries or cherries
Optional: fresh mint leaves for garnish
Optional: small American flag toothpicks or star-shaped fruit cutouts
Instructions
Wash and thoroughly dry all fruits.
Slice strawberries, watermelon, bananas, and honeydew into bite-sized or decorative shapes.
Use a star-shaped cookie cutter on watermelon or jicama for patriotic flair.
Arrange fruits in color blocks or flag-inspired rows on a large platter or tray.
Place blueberries in the upper left corner to represent the “stars” section.
Alternate red and white fruits in stripes across the rest of the tray.
Fill gaps with blackberries or cherries for bold contrast.
Garnish with fresh mint and patriotic picks if desired.
Notes
Use citrus juice to prevent bananas from browning. Chill platter before serving and keep cool on ice if outdoors. Add yogurt or chocolate dip in small ramekins for extra appeal.
